Knesset committee: Set up state commission of inquiry into water crisis

The Knesset's State Control Committee decided on Monday to set up a state commission of inquiry to look into the circumstances which led to the serious water crisis Israel is experiencing. National Infrastructures Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer said he fully supported the establishment of such an inquiry committee, which he said must look into the conduct of his office as well as that of the Finance Ministry. "I insist that this commission be established and explain to everyone what a handful of treasury bureaucrats...can do to an entire country," he said.
