Knesset nixes Sharon's ministerial appointments

The Knesset rejected Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's proposal of appointing three new ministers to his government Monday evening, by a vote of 54 to 40. Sharon wanted to appoint Ehud Olmert, Roni Bar-On and Ze'ev Boim to ministerial positions in one bloc.
