Knesset to convene to discuss political crisis

The Knesset will open its special summer convention Monday to discuss the political crisis following the publication of the Winograd interim report and the calls for Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Defense Minister Amir Peretz to resign. The Knesset will also discuss the election of Israel's new president. President Moshe Katsav, who suspended himself from office in January after being accused of numerous sexual crimes, is to end his term in July.
