The National Labor Court in Jerusalem will discuss on Wednesday a request to delay the firing of 1,500 teachers until the High Court of Justice rules on the issue.
In 10 days, the High Court is expected to decide whether to order a gradual cut to budget benefits that the nation's periphery schools enjoy. If it decides against the cuts, teachers will not be fired.
