Strategic Affairs Minister Avigdor Lieberman called Wednesday for the dismissal of Science, Culture, and Sports Minister Ghaleb Majadle because he refused to sing Israel's national anthem. In an interview with Army Radio, Lieberman said he would not accept Majadle's willingness to stand up for the anthem and demands that he sing it. He said that soccer players in every international team sung their national anthem before an international match and that it was unacceptable for a member of Knesset to refuse to do so.
