Likud committee to vote on Knesset list procedure

The Likud central committee will vote on Monday on the procedure for choosing the party's Knesset list. The central committee was urged to start securing the special slots for regional and ethnic representatives from the 19th spot, and not from the 25th as had been done previously. Israel Radio reported that the request to move up the secured slots came from grassroots activists who were concerned about the effects of the Likud's plummeting numbers in recent polls. The secret vote will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will continue for 12 hours.
