President Moshe Katsav's younger brother, Lior, will be questioned in the coming days with regard to allegations of committing an indecent act on a foreign worker, according to media reports Monday evening.
The woman, who was recently arrested by immigration police, submitted a complaint against the younger Katsav approximately three weeks ago.
The worker said that two years ago, when she was employed at a roadside rest stop in the South, Lior Katsav committed the indecent act on her.
After the worker submitted the complaint, police decided to open an investigation into the allegations.
Since then, the National Fraud Squad has been probing the worker's claims. Channel 2 news reported Monday evening that the foreign worker had willingly taken a polygraph test, which she passed.
Police said that at this point in the investigation, they would not confirm or deny any of the facts of the case.
Katsav denied the allegations against him, arguing that they were simply the latest media attack against the Katsav family.
Months after allegations emerged concerning the president, a former Israel Railways employee allegedly complained that Katsav's son, Ariel, had sexually harassed her. In that case, however, no criminal investigation was opened into the allegations.
Seven years ago, Lior Katsav was also the focus of a police investigation for sexual harassment. In that case, a former employee alleged that Katsav sexually harassed her while he was serving as mayor of Kiryat Malachi. That case was closed by then-State's Attorney Edna Arbel, who cited lack of evidence.
