Livni: Negotiations not a concession, deal depends on PA fighting terror

While Israel is willing to make significant territorial concessions in peace negotiations with the Palestinians, any deal reached will depend on the Palestinian Authority fulfilling all of its road map obligations, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni said Monday. The negotiations themselves are not a concession, Livni said, and Israel is not approaching them from a weak or defeatist position. If at the end of the process Israel does not see a responsible, terror-fighting Palestinian partner, it will not hand over any territory, she stated.
