'Livni hypocritical for keeping quiet over police recommendations on PM'

Sources close to Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz said on Monday that Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni is being hypocritical in her failure to respond to the police's recommendation to indict Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on charges of corruption. The source said that it was frustrating that on the day that the police recommend an indictment against Olmert because of among other things misusing holocaust survivors' funds, Livni also took advantage of holocaust funds for political use for her campaign and continues to ignore the reports. According to the sources, the proper ethical step would be to fire her campaign manager, Moshe Shehori, and return the money that was taken from the holocaust funds. Livni is maintaining her right to remain silent on the issue and this is unacceptable, worrisome and embarrassing, they said.
