Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni was expected to meet on Tuesday former US president Jimmy Carter, head of the US team that came to monitor Wednesday's elections for the Palestinian Legislative Council.
The two planned on discussing Hamas participation in the elections, the voting in east Jerusalem, and the new reality that would form following the results.
Livni was also scheduled to meet US envoy James Wolfensohn later in the day, Israel Radio reported.
