Livni urges Katsav to resign without delay

Foreign Minister Livni said Tuesday that it was inappropriate for President Moshe Katsav to continue to serve in his position after announcing his intention to resign if criminal charges were pressed against him. Speaking at a dedication ceremony of a Kadima party branch office in Hadera, Livni said Katsav's waiting to see whether charges would be pressed created a situation that was "not proper."
