Hadash head MK Muhammad Barakei came under fire on Monday for visiting Yemen, which is considered an enemy country, Israel Radio reported.
According to the report, Barakei, who was in the country to participate in a conference on the rights of Palestinian refugees in Iraq, did not receive the necessary authorization before making his trip.
The law requires Israeli diplomats to receive special permission from defense officials before visiting enemy countries.
