"We must give Iran a deadline, a clear ultimatum for it to cease its nuclear activity in order to give diplomacy a chance to work," MK Yuval Steinitz (Likud) said Sunday. Steinitz told Channel 2 that former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein posed a threat to the Middle East whereas the Iranian threat was a threat to the entire world. "A key condition for attaining world peace is preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons," added the Likud MK. On Saturday, Iranian state-run television quoted a top Revolutionary Guards Corps commander as saying that Iran was capable of firing 11,000 rockets into enemy bases in the first minute after any attack.
