MK Yitzhak Ziv (Gil Pensioners) will be questioned on Thursday over his alleged sexual assault and harassment of a 62-year-old party activist last year. The activist, R., revealed in July that Ziv had attacked her at his house prior to the March 2006 elections. According to R., the MK hugged her from behind, lifted up her shirt, grabbed her breasts and threw her down on his bed. The plaintiff said she had tried to fight Ziv off and eventually succeeded in slipping away from his grasp and fleeing the house. Ziv has denied the accusations, calling them a case of political revenge. Cmdr. Yohanan Danino, head of the police's investigations and intelligence division, assigned the case to the National Economic Crimes Unit after R. submitted an officially complaint.
