OC Central Command Maj.-Gen. Gadi Shamni has decided to reprimand outgoing Kfir Brigade Commander, Colonel David Menahem, as well as the outgoing Lavi Battalion Commander, Lt.-Col. Didi Sivan, for their responsibility in events last week in which their soldiers shot an innocent Palestinian and left him without offering medical care. The incoming Battalion Commander, Lt.-Col. Amit Yamin, who took command three weeks before the incident, was reprimanded by Shamni for "not identifying professional problems on the operational level in the battalion."
