A Kiryat Yam resident was arrested Sunday afternoon on suspicion that he burned his wife to death. A preliminary police investigation revealed that a technician who has been called to the apartment heard a woman screaming, tried barging into the apartment where the screams originated and when he did not succeed called the police. Shortly thereafter a large police force arrived at the scene and broke into the apartment. Police officers were horrified to see the woman in flames, and a Magen David Adom team established her death. The man was taken for questioning in the Zevulun Police Station. Police were trying to establish the motives for the crime.
