A Jaffa man suspected of causing the death of Tel Aviv resident Rachel Laor, 78, during a robbery last month has been arrested, it was released for publication on Tuesday morning. Fars Kadoumi, 33, allegedly stole the elderly woman's purse, causing her to fall down the stairs. Laor was found injured in the stairwell and was taken in critical condition to Tel Aviv's Ichilov Hospital. She later died of her wounds. Police investigating the incident placed a gag order on the details of the case at the time. The suspect's remand was extended by five days.
