A 62-year-old man was arrested Monday on suspicion of using the instant messaging platform ICQ to convince dozens of young girls to meet with him, after which he allegedly sexually attacked an unknown number of them. The man, a resident of Hod Hasharon, was arrested on suspicion of rape, sodomy and sexual misconduct with minors. He will come before the Ramle Magistrate's Court on Monday in order to extend his remand. The suspect was arrested after months of a secret investigation following complaints and intelligence information received at police headquarters, Army Radio reported. He allegedly made contact with youths between the ages of 11 and 18. The police hold the man's personal computer IP number through which they managed to trace the calls he made via ICQ.
