Attorney-General Menahem Mazuz ordered police to open an additional investigation, the third of its kind, against Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Sunday.
The prime minister will be investigated under the suspicion that he appointed his close associates to senior positions of small businesses' authorities while he was minister of Commerce and Industry.
Olmert will also be investigated for allegedly helping his associate and former business partner, Attorney Uri Messer, who applied for loans to the Investment Center.
