Meretz chairman: Mazuz must respond immediately to police recommendation

Following the police recommendation to indict Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on charges including bribery and money laundering, Meretz chairman Haim Oron called on Attorney-General Mehahem Mazuz to immediately respond in order to allow the political and legal establishments to "act accordingly." "The police announcement includes some of the most serious charges which can possibly be leveled against a public official," he said in a statement.
