Meridor presents temporary credentials in US

Israel's new ambassador to the United States, former Jewish Agency chairman Sallai Meridor, submitted temporary credentials to the State Department and began his work in the US on Wednesday. Meridor is expected to present his permanent credentials to US President George W. Bush in another two weeks, after Bush returns to the US following the NATO conference and a planned visit to Jordan.
