Residents of Sderot, who launched a hunger strike to protest what they considered the government's lack of proper response against the Kassam rockets that have plagued their city, rejected on Thursday Chief Rabbi Yona Metzger's request to end their strike.
They said they would continue until a senior government officials comes to them to explain that they will fight relentlessly against the attacks on the city, Israel Radio reported.
