Micky Levy announces retirement from police force

Police Commander Micky Levy, who was a candidate for the position of assistant chief of the Israel Police, announced his retirement from the police force on Tuesday evening. Channel 10 reported that earlier, Levy had rescinded his candidacy in the wake of Internal Security Minister Avi Dichter's announcement that he had decided to choose Central District Commander Dudi Cohen to be the next chief of police.
