Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz and mideast quartet representative James Wolfensohn decided late Thursday that they would act to reach an agreement to open the Rafah border crossing by the end of next week.
Mofaz promised that as long as the Palestinians fight terror, Israel would make an effort to forward economic projects in the Gaza Strip.
The two intend make the Rafah crossing into a goods passageway in and out of the Gaza Strip, Israel Radio reported.
