Activists for Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz vowed Wednesday night to appeal the result of the Kadima primary and demand a recount.
As the votes were being counted, it became clear that Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni would clinch the nomination by only several hundred votes.
Mofaz's aides alleged irregularities in several polling stations.
