Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz met Egyptian Intelligence Chief Omar Suleiman in Tel Aviv on Wednesday. In the course of their meeting they discussed current events in the Gaza Strip, with particular attention paid to the launching of Kassam rockets, which occurred every day for the last few days. Before their scheduled meeting, the defense minister planned on demanding his Egyptian partner end the Palestinian attacks, he added that Israel would do whatever it takes to defend its citizens, Israel Radio reported. Suleiman was scheduled to meet with Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas later in the day.
