The Movement for Quality Government on Wednesday petitioned the High Court of Justice for the second time, asking it to order the suspension of Finance Minister Avraham Hirchson while he is under police investigation. Hirschson is suspected of embezzling money from the National Labor Federation of the Land of Israel and some of its subsidiary organizations. The Movement for Quality Government has already petitioned the court once before on this matter, but the court rejected the petition on the grounds that it was filed too early in the legal proceedings against Hirchson. Another organization, the Legal Forum for the Land of Israel, has also filed a petition against the finance minister.
