Mubarak: Egypt 'making efforts' for Gilad Schalit's release

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on Tuesday declared his country's commitment to bringing about the release of captured IDF soldier Gilad Schalit.
"We shall discuss the question of Gilad Schalit," said Mubarak, speaking to reporters through an interpreter as he and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert went into a closed-door meeting. "We are making efforts for his release."
