Negotiation underway in Rabbi Amar's son's case

The prosecution is currently in negotiations with lawyers representing the son of Sephardi Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar who has been charged with the assault and kidnapping of his sister's boyfriend in April. Meir Amar was arrested after together with two Israeli Arab friends, he allegedly kidnapped his sister's boyfriend, beat him and threatened him. The rabbi's wife Mazal has also been charged with two felonies, including false imprisonment. Her case is not under negotiations.
