In response to Tzahi Hanegbi's expected announcement Wednesday that he is quitting the Likud to join Kadima, top Likud leadership candidate Binyamin Netanyahu said he did not assign any political significance to Hanegbi's move.
Netanyahu said he believed Hanegbi's departure was an expression of great personal distress, and one should not be judged at such a time. He wished Hanegbi success in recovering from his personal problems, Israel Radio reported.
