Nir Am residents: Gov't doing 'nothing' on Kassams

Residents of Kibbutz Nir Am in the western Negev met on Sunday morning with Internal Security Minister Avi Dichter and accused the government of "doing nothing" to combat the continual Kassam rocket fire on southern Israel. One kibbutz resident suggested that communities in the Gaza periphery be evacuated and the residents compensated, as the state was unable to protect its citizens, Israel Radio reported.
