OC Gaza Division Moshe Tamir suspected of trying to cover up negligence
By JPOST.COM STAFF
OC Gaza Division Brig.-Gen. Moshe Tamir is suspected of allowing his 14-year-old son to drive a military dune buggy, and then trying to cover it up after the boy crashed into a car.
According to suspicions, Tamir paid the car owner more than NIS 1,000 to stop him from reporting the accident to his insurance company, and wrote up a false accident report.
Tamir, according to the report, is a highly-regarded officer who has received much praise for his accomplishments. He has rejected the allegations of obstruction of justice, saying he has cooperated fully with the investigation.
