Olmert: Israel will continue crackdown in Gaza

May 27, 2007 10:56

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told the cabinet on Sunday that Israel will continue its crackdown against Hamas, saying "no one is immune." Olmert spoke shortly after a Palestinian rocket slammed into Sderot, killing a 36-year-old man. A 10-day IDF campaign of airstrikes has killed nearly 50 people in the Gaza Strip, most of them terrorists. However, the attacks have failed to halt the ongoing barrages of rocket fire out of Gaza.
