Olmert meets Chinese Communist official

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert met Tuesday with a Chinese Communist Party official, in an effort to improve bilateral relations between the two countries, the Prime Minister's Office said. Jiangsu Province Communist Party Secretary Li Yuanchao told the premier during their afternoon meeting that Chinese representatives would attend an Israeli telecom conference in November. The two men agreed to establish a joint fund for investments in high-tech and nano-technology.
