Aides of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert offered Kadima MK David Tal the position of coalition chairman on Monday, Army Radio reported.
Tal would replace MK Avigdor Yitzhaki, who quit in the wake of the Winograd Committee interim report.
According to the report, Olmert plans to shuffle the positions in the Knesset and the cabinet if Vice Premier Shimon Peres emerges victorious from Wednesday's presidential elections.
