Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said on Monday that he did not plan to raise the issue of Jerusalem in negotiations with the Palestinian Authority in the near future. "The Jerusalem issue is very sensitive. It is better to start with issues on which there is a chance of reaching an understanding than to begin with issues where the disagreement is so large from the start," Olmert said.
