Olmert urges to stop 'beating up on' police

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Sunday criticized the trend of "beating up on the police" following the scathing report from the Zeiler Commission last week. "Remember, these are the people who foiled a terror attack in Bat Yam just last week," Olmert said. Olmert addressed departing Israel Police Chief Insp.-Gen. Moshe Karadi during Sunday's cabinet meeting, saying, "In my eyes, you are a decent, courageous man who has served the State of Israel for many years, and will continue to do even more for the State of Israel."
