Labor MK Ophir Paz-Pines was to be appointed science minister when the government would be sworn in on Thursday. As part of his duties, he would also be in charge of sports and culture.
The decision was agreed upon by Interim Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Labor Chairman Amir Peretz on Wednesday night.
