Dozens of Palestinians and Israeli and foreign left-wing activists converged on a site that used to house the "Yad Yair" unauthorized outpost, near Ramallah, on Thursday. The activists removed the Israeli flag and replaced it with a Palestinian flag and, in addition, removed dirt roadblocks in the vicinity of the site. They also placed a caravan on the hill. IDF troops removed the activists from the site, Palestinian sources reported. "The army announced that the left-wing activists left the hill, the Palestinian flag was taken down and there was no damage caused," Judea and Samaria Police spokesman Danny Poleg said. The army had detained two activists on suspicion of infiltrating a closed military zone, he said, adding that they may be transferred to police for further questioning.
