Palestinian Authority parliament member Ziad Abu Amar, who has ties to Hamas and is a candidate for a ministerial position in the new PA government, said Monday that Hamas's platform did not reflect the new political reality.
Abu Amar said that the party's position could be reexamined without compromising the basic principles.
He added that international consensus dictated that new governments have an obligation to live up to agreements signed by previous legislatures, Israel Radio reported.
