Prime Minister Ehud Olmert took the podium in Jerusalem on Thursday as Israel marked 39 years since its unification in the 1967 Six Day War. The prime minister told the crowd, "Never in Jewish history has there been day like the one in which the words 'The Temple Mount is in our hands' were heard," referring to the comquest of the Old City during the war. Olmert added that "the Jewish people never had, nor will ever have a different home. We have returned to our holy places in order to never leave them again."
