A victory for Vice Premier Shimon Peres in Wednesday's presidential election is not a foregone conclusion, Prime Minster Ehud Olmert said during Monday's Kadima faction meeting, calling on colleagues to approach every voter "so that MKs do what the country expects." "I believe that the choice is not only important for the Kadima faction, movement or party, but it is vital for the state of Israel, said Olmert, adding that "nothing is a foregone conclusion."
