Sources surrounding Prime Minister Ehud Olmert were working on Thursday to motivate Pensioners Party MKs not to oppose Israel Beiteinu's entry into the coalition. Olmert advisor Oved Yehezkel conducted a series of discussions on Thursday afternoon with Pensioners Party leader Rafi Eitan to convince the latter to vote in favor of the move. Earlier Thursday, the Pensioners warned Finance Minister Avraham Hirchson that they would oppose the expansion of the coalition if their budgetary demands were not met.
