PM calls for criminal probe against Lindenstrauss

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert wrote a letter to Attorney General Menahem Mazuz urging him to open a criminal investigation against State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss on suspicion of using his position to cause harm, a charge which faces a maximum three-year prison sentence, Channel 2 reported on Monday. The letter comes in the wake of the attorney general's investigation into Olmert's sale of his house on Jerusalem's Cremieux Street. Lindenstrauss has given a report on the suspicious property sale to Mazuz, who may open a criminal investigation against Olmert.
