Palestinian flags erected by haredim in protest

Haredi extremists erected two Palestinian flags in Ramat Beit Shemesh Wednesday, as Israel marked Independence Day, police said. The flags were later taken down at the instruction of local Rabbis. Scuffles subsequently broke out at the scene between supporters and opponents of the move.
