A suspected bomb was found on the body of a 19-year-old Palestinian who was trying to enter Israel through the Sha'ar Ephraim crossing near Tulkarm on Monday morning.
Sappers attending to the situation believed the suspicious object could have been a dummy bomb.
The crossing, manned by a civilian security company, was closed to traffic.
The teen was taken for questioning by security officials.
