IDF troops shot and killed a 17-year-old Palestinian youth on Monday and moderately wounded two other men during an arrest operation in Bethlehem, Palestinian sources said. The army said in response that forces had used non-lethal weapons and eventually live fire against a group of people who hurled rocks and Molotov cocktail at them as they surrounded a house in which a fugitive was hiding. An army spokesman added that troops had targeted the men's lower bodies but said the army was looking into the incident. Troops later arrested the man, a member of Islamic Jihad, and left the city.
