IAF strikes Kassam squad in the north of the territory; Man moderately wounded by rocket in Ashkelon.

An IAF aircraft attacked a Kassam launching squad in the northern Gaza Strip on Monday evening. The squad was apparently responsible for launching rockets on Monday which landed in Asheklon and the western Negev. Palestinian sources reported that one man was killed in the strike.
Earlier Monday, three Palestinians were killed on Monday and one Israeli was moderately wounded in a Katyusha rocket attack, as Israeli and Egyptian officials reiterated their determination to reach a cease-fire with Hamas in the Gaza Strip "any day now."
The three Islamic Jihad gunmen were shot and killed by IDF troops early Monday morning after they were spotted planting an explosive device along the Gaza border, the military said. The IDF said that two bombs, rifles and other weapons were found in the Palestinians' possession.
In the afternoon, a rocket struck southern Ashkelon, wounding one person moderately and sending several others into shock.
