Three firebombs were thrown at IDF troops south of Nablus on Thursday night.
Soldiers returned fire, wounding one of the attackers, Army Radio reported.
Palestinians also opened fire at an Israeli vehicle east of Ramallah. In searches of the area, the gunman's ambush locale was discovered, littered with bullet casings.
No Israeli casualties were incurred, and no damage was caused in either incident.
