Many pages of former MK Omri Sharon's personal documents were made public on Sunday, allegedly showing shady influence in politics, including assigning children of associates to convenient military service, determining parts of the route of the security fence, but mostly appointing associates with management and high-profile jobs.
In its exclusive report, Channel 10 indicated that the appointments were made not out of any formal power that Sharon possessed, but more out of his personal influence. The main beneficiaries of Sharon's alleged influence were Likud members and friends of the Sharon family.
Sharon responded that the documents shown detailed issues with which he dealt during his tenure as MK, since he has resigned from the Knesset, he no longer dealt with those matters.
